Dispensing NHS Prescriptions 
We are a registered NHS Contracted Pharmacy and can dispense all NHS Prescriptions
Collection and Delivery of Prescriptions
We can collect and deliver your prescription when it is convenient for you. Information and advice will be offered to you, to help you (and carers) use your medicines safely and effectively. Please call one of our pharmacy staff for more details and sign up to the service today.
Minor Ailments
Our pharmacy can provide you with advice and support on the management of minor ailments (e.g. coughs, colds, hay fever, pain, head lice etc.; including where necessary, the supply of medicines for the treatment of the minor ailment, as an alternative to visiting your GP for a prescription.
Repeat Dispensing
If you use regular medication, and get it on Repeat Dispensing, we can manage and dispense these prescriptions (for medicines and appliances) for you as agreed with your GP. The Pharmacist will also discuss the use of the medication and/or appliances with you at the point of dispensing and inform your GP about any clinical significant issues.
Sales of Medicines
We keep a wide range of over the counter medicines and also vitamins and mineral supplements. Please ask our fully trained pharmacy staff for help and advice on selecting the best product for you.
Substance Misuse
Our fully trained Pharmacist will offer a user-friendly, non-judgmental, client-centered and confidential service. We can provide support and advice to you, including referral to primary care or specialist centers where appropriate.
Unwanted Medicine
Do not attempt to dispose of medicines yourself, instead please return all unwanted medicines to the pharmacy where we will dispose of them safely. We accept unwanted medicines, from households and individuals, which require safe disposal. Medicines will be will be disposed of safely at the Pharmacy. As the nature of Waste Medication varies considerably, Please contact us to arrange the details for the return of Waste Medication.
Healthy Lifestyle Advice
If you receive prescriptions from us and appear to suffer from any of the following long term conditions, we are able to offer advice on achieving a healthy lifestyle: • Diabetes • Be at risk of Coronary Heart Disease (especially those with high blood pressure• Patients who want to give up smoking • Patients who want to lose weight We also partake in national and local campaigns to promote healthy living to the public and to all visitors to the pharmacy. These may be targeted campaigns e.g. Stop Smoking in January etc.
Medication Use Reviews
Let our accredited pharmacist have a discussion with you about the medication you take. It is a structured review with patients on multiple medicines, particularly those receiving medicines for long term conditions. During the discussion we attempt to establish a picture of the use of your medicines - both prescribed and non-prescribed. The review will help you understand your therapy and it will identify any problems you are experiencing along with possible solutions. A report of the review will be provided to the patient and to their GP should there be anything for them to consider.
Holiday Healthcare
Ask our fully trained Pharmacist and pharmacy staff for advice on medical requirements for travellers, including anti-malaria treatments and holiday vaccines. We can also help you organise your medication before travelling.
